Apparently potato farming is not an overly taxing job as it still leaves time for protesting derogatory references to the tasty tuber. Check out this story in the AP about a group of British potato farmers who are demonstrating in front of Parliament and in Oxford to have the phrase "couch potato" stricken from the Oxford English dictionary since it "harms the vegetable's image."
It may just be me, but I don't think the phrase "couch potato" has harmed the vegetable's image nearly as much as Dr. Atkins has.
